The United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP) is thrilled to announce the 2025 Global Undergraduate Semester Exchange Program for Pakistan.
This program offers a unique chance for Pakistani students to study in the United States for one semester.
It aims to build understanding between the people of the U.S. and Pakistan and provides students with valuable academic and cultural experiences.
What Is the Program About?
This exchange program is designed for full-time undergraduate students from Pakistan. It offers them the opportunity to study in the U.S. for a semester without working towards a degree.
This allows students to experience American education and culture firsthand. In addition to studying, students will participate in community service activities, helping them learn about social responsibility in the U.S.
Who Can Apply?
To apply, you must meet the following criteria:
Be a Pakistani citizen
Be between 18 and 24 years old by the application deadline
Be currently enrolled in a college or university in Pakistan
Be in your 14th year of formal education (equivalent to the 2nd year of a bachelor's degree)
Plan to return to your home university after completing the program
Additionally, you must submit your current or most recent transcripts with your application.
Who Cannot Apply?
You are not eligible if you:
Hold dual U.S./Pakistani citizenship or are a U.S. permanent resident
Are an employee (or a close relative of an employee) of the Fulbright organization, U.S. Department of State, or USAID
Have previously visited the U.S. on a J-visa or any U.S. government-funded grant
What Does the Program Offer?
The program covers:
Round-trip airfare
Tuition and fees
Housing and meals
A limited allowance for books
Accident and health insurance
A monthly allowance for personal expenses

Students from underserved communities and those with diverse backgrounds are especially encouraged to apply. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn and grow while experiencing life in the U.S.

Selected candidates must provide reference letters and take the Duolingo English Test.
