"We're creating Pakistan's first AI university," says Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced plans to set up Pakistan’s first AI university in the province within the next five years. This initiative aims to transform education in the region.


During a ceremony in Lahore celebrating top students, Maryam Nawaz shared several new developments. She revealed that the laptop distribution program, which had been discontinued, will be revived. Additionally, 30,000 electric bikes will be distributed to support students and reduce their travel challenges.


A major scholarship program worth 25 billion rupees will be introduced to assist many students. This program will cover educational expenses for top-performing students, ensuring they have the financial support they need to excel.


Maryam Nawaz also commended the achievements of the 138 top students, including 70 boys and 68 girls. To further support families in need, she launched a free milk program aimed at children in Southern Punjab.


In her address, Maryam Nawaz defended a recent plan to provide two months of electricity relief and previewed an upcoming solar energy project, which is expected to enhance sustainable energy sources in the province.


Overall, these announcements reflect a strong commitment to improving educational opportunities and supporting students and families in Punjab.
